PLAR is Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition. Mature students may obtain credits for prior learning - the knowledge and skill that adults have acquired, in both formal and informal ways outside of school.  This includes first language learning.  Speak to a Guidance Counsellor  about eligibility and referral.

School Within A College (SWAC)

SWAC is only available for students between 17 and 20 years old with fewer than 8 credits to graduate.  This allows you to attend St. Clair College to complete high school credits AND take college courses that count towards your high school diploma. The program is free.

Dual Credit

Want to "try-on" a college course?  Students must be referred to attend St.Clair College a half day once a week for a 15 week period.  A maximum of 4 college delivered dual credits can be counted as optional credits towards your high school diploma.
Dual Credit programs promote a successful transition to college and apprenticeship programs.

St. Michael's Adult

St. Michael's Catholic High School offers an outstanding program to help you complete your high school diploma, upgrade your skills, and prepare for your future.

We are a tuition free adult day school.  Our courses are taught by Ontario Certified teachers under the authority of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
